Our family — a blended family of seven — first came to Anguilla in the summer of 2024. We're big believers in dreaming big and making memories together, so we try to travel as a family at least once a year.

But so many things about this island were different. Even after two weeks, it felt like it had settled into us in a way we couldn't quite explain. Instead of feeling ready to go home — like we normally would after a trip — we found ourselves not wanting to leave at all. It was the first time we had ever experienced that.

We never came here expecting to buy a home. We're a hardworking, middle-class family who simply fell in love with a place we didn't want to leave. In our final days on the island, we connected with a realtor, walked into one property — and that was it. At the time, it was called Pacific Villa. We made an offer on a Friday, heard back on Monday, and honestly couldn't believe it was accepted.

The home was originally built by a French couple, and we really wanted to honor that while also naming it something that felt personal to us. We chose Villa Bénie — "Bénie" meaning blessed — because that's exactly how this whole experience has felt from the very beginning.

Our home is truly a gift and a blessing from the Lord, and something we're so thankful we get to share with others from all over the world.

Over the next year and a half, we poured our time, energy, and every resource we had into restoring and reimagining the home. There were a lot of long days, a lot of learning, tears, frustration, and moments where we simply had to trust the process — but we cared deeply about getting it right.

This is just the beginning of what we envision for Villa Bénie, but what you'll experience today has been created with intention, heart, and a deep desire to make your stay feel both beautiful and truly comfortable.

It means so much to us to be able to open it up and share it with you.
